Patrick Welsh Obituary
March 18, 1975 - July 15, 2025
Patrick "Pat" James Welsh, 50, of Williston, North Dakota, passed away on July 15, 2025. He was born on March 18, 1975, in California, a proud fifth-generation San Franciscan.
He grew up in California and attended Petaluma High School before earning an Associate of Arts degree from Mendocino Junior College. After relocating to North Dakota, he trained as a commercial and hazmat truck driver and worked in the oil fields of Williston.
Patrick loved fishing, reading, and engaging in political debates. He was known for his intelligence, sharp humor, and unwavering loyalty to family and friends.
Patrick is survived by his loving parents, Dennis and Pamela Welsh; his brothers and sister and their spouses: brother Dennis Welsh (wife Tina Welsh), sister Alicia Montes (husband Raul Montes), brother Michael Welsh (wife Jolene Welsh), and kindred brother Erick Gross (wife Stacey Gross). He also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews: Isabella Welsh, Liam Welsh, Gabriella Welsh, Giuliana Welsh, Santana Montes, Maria Montes, Jonni Montes and Jacob Burr.
Patrick's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Private services will be held for family and close friends at Holy Rosary Chapel / St. Vincent's School for Boys.
In lieu of flowers, and in remembrance of Patrick's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the American Lung Association.

Patrick was an amazing friend to me. Always there when needed, good or bad. My children and I share alot of memories with him. Fishing, camping and boating. Patrick always brought laughter wherever we were. He always told me to not take life so seriously and enjoy things more. He would pick me up when I was down. And make sure I knew, he cared. Pat showed me true friendship, loyality and love. And I will forever be grateful to have had that. There won't be a day that goes by that I don't miss his witty personality and the moments of complete aggravation when he thought something was funny and I didnt. Haha. That happened a lot. He was a genuine soul with nothing but love to give. I'll miss him dearly, everyday.
