Patrick T. Wrinn, 86, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9th, 2026, at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford with his loving daughters by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Marie Villano Wrinn. Patrick was born in New Haven on February 21st, 1939, and was the son of late Patrick and Mary O'Connell Wrinn. Patrick graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1957 and upon graduation, Patrick served his country faithfully in the United States Army. It was after his service; Patrick spent a short time at UPS and then began his career as a Police Officer for Yale University. Patrick worked for almost 30 years until his retirement as a Police Lieutenant in 1999. Patrick was a fan of both the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He was also an avid walker and enjoyed traveling, taking frequent trips within the United States. He especially enjoyed his trip to Ireland to visit the birthplace of his father. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally. Patrick is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Chris) Brown and Tracy (Lou) Maselli, and grandchildren, Kayla (Dan) Reynolds, Kristen and Carly Brown, and Louis and Nicolette Maselli. He is also survived by his sister, Maureen Forselius.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday morning, January 14th, from 9:00 to 11:00, at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinty Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven, at 11:30. Interment with full military honors will follow in the All Saints Cemetery.
