Patsy Carline Akins

Patsy Carline Akins was born December 21, 1943. She passed peacefully at home on October 15, 2025.

Patsy (Pat) is survived by her 3 brothers, Thomas (Marilyn), James (Claire) both of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jerry (Aloma) of Marysville, CA. She was preceded in death by her partner of 51 years, Sandy Sparkman, her mother, Pauline Sharpe (Ralph), her father, Carl Akins (Wilma) and her beloved grandma (Oma Akins). She is also survived by Sandy's children, which she helped raise, Bill (Yo), Pam (Dennis), Richard (Kerri), and Becky. Nana Pat, as she was called by her grandchildren, is also survived by Alicia (Jeffrey), James (Giovi) and Peyton. She is also survived by her great grandchild Rowan.

Pat was a Christian who loved God and was happy to share her faith with everyone. She was a member of Ladies of the Lord who ministered at the homeless mission monthly for 8+ years.

Pat had many jobs over the years. She was the first female manager of PV Ranch and Home. She cooked at a home for Alzheimer's patients. She worked for Congressman Wally Herger who was Republican even though Pat was a lifelong Democrat. She was past President in BPW and Soroptimist.

Pat was a giving woman. She helped all she could, especially the elderly. She had a gift with the elderly, even when she was young.

Pat will be missed by all.

There will be a celebration of Life on Saturday, October 25 at River Valley Church, 1764 Tierra Buena Rd. in Yuba City.
