Patsy Powell Ammons, 77 of Webster, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Patsy was born on 04/04/1948 in Jackson County to the late Harvey & Ellen Jones Powell. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. First and foremost, she loved the Lord. She also loved cardinals and other birds. Patsy loved working in her garden and collecting family pictures.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brewton (Derek); son, Keith Randall Ammons (Jennifer); grandchildren, Josh Ammons (Kayla), Natalie Brewton, Grayson Ammons, and Fara Ammons; great grandchildren, Paisley Ammons, Declan Smathers and Bowen Ammons; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jitterbug Ammons; son, Gary Lee Ammons; and several brothers and sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in the chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Rev. Michael Queen and Rev. Austin Frady officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm – 2pm prior to the service. Burial will be held at Parris Cemetery following the service.
