Patsy Blake Obituary
In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Padgett "Pat" Blake, Sr.; son, Joseph Blake; great-grandson Abram Connell.
Patsy was a great prayer warrior who loved The Lord. Patsy's wonderful husband, her children, grandchildren, & great-grands were the apples of her eye. She was a substitute teacher for Gaston County Schools for many years where she was known as MawMaw Blake to all. Patsy was the neighborhood mom and nurse for many years whose kitchen and home was always open. When she wasn't taking care of the cooking and chores, she was found working in her flower beds...She loved her flowers!
Left to cherish her memories are her children, LaVere Williams (Mike), and Padgett "Laverne" Blake, Jr. (Lynn); grandchildren, Trisha Connell (Tim), Luke Hovis (Courtney), Brett Williams (Mandy), Padgett Laverne "Trey" Blake III (Emily), Travis Blake (Natalie), and Tori Blake; great grandchildren, Anslee and Addison Connell, Isaac, Lydia, Amelia, and Elias Williams, Graycen Skidmore and Myles Blake, Ella, Emma, and Eli Blake, and Journey and Jovi Hovis; sister, Mary Ann Hubbs (Clinton); many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday March 6, 2022, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Patsy's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Thompson and Pastor Jon Mann officiating.
Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
