Patsy JoAnn Brazle, 80, of Vandalia, Illinois, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Vandalia Rehab and Healthcare Center in Vandalia, IL.
There will be no services held at this time. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Miller Funeral Home. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.
She was born September 9, 1944, in Patoka, IL, the daughter of Albert & Margaret (Hintz) Hopkins. She married Lowell Brazle on November 25, 1962. They later divorced in 1984 and he preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Church of God and enjoyed doing volunteer work for them.
She is survived by: Sons - Anthony "Tony" Brazle & Barbara, Mendon, OH and Eric Brazle, Vandalia, IL; Grandchildren - Christopher Brazle, Chicago, IL and Brenna Brazle, Mendon, OH; Sister - Janet Miller, Florida; Step-Sister - Shelley Hilton; Nephew - Matt Carter & Lara; Nieces - Stacie Slaven & Charlie, Kristi Beckman, and Lisa Niepoetter.
Preceded in death by: Parents; Brother - Gary Hopkins; Sister - Lana Carter; Step-Mother - Pauline Hopkins.

No services very sad! Joann and Lowell were my neighbors, my teenage years! I watched Tony and Eric grow up. Was glad to visit with her in 2009 at Dads funeral! R I P. Patsy (she didn´t like being called that name!) Joann.
