Patsy J. Brown

Patsy Joan Brown, age 89, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 12:15 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Memorial service will be at 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood. Burial will take place at Keen's Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may go to the donor's choice.
Patsy was born on May 13, 1934 in Alma, Illinois, the daughter of Lavern and Marie (Brimberry) Gray. Patsy was known for her impeccable work ethic. She spent many loyal years working for Brown's Produce in Farina. She enjoyed reading, watching the hummingbirds, flowers, and growing her garden each year.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Hollinshead (wife Patty) of St. Angelo, Texas, Robert Hollinshead (wife Linda) of Farina, Joe Hollinshead of St. Angelo, Texas, Max Hollinshead (wife Susie) of St. Elmo, Chuck Hollinshead (wife Rachelle) of Sullivan, Indiana; daughters, Thelma Bradford (husband Doug) of Effingham, Jeanette Kleinik of Vandalia, and Angela Ray (husband Cecil) of Saybrook; daughter-in-law, Ann Hollinshead of Dieterich; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Michael Hollinshead and John Hollinshead; and her brothers.
