Patsy Rose Brown

Patsy Rose Weathers Brown, aged 87, of Wake County, NC, was called to her eternal resting place on February 13, 2026. Born on November 5, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James Garland Weathers and Lucy Babb Weathers.

Patsy was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband, Johnny Mack Brown, her brothers, Alvin P. Weathers, Clarence H. Weathers, Peal R. Weathers, Phillip J. Weathers, Wade L. Weathers, and her sister Janey W. Baker.

A devoted nurse, Patsy dedicated 39 years to the healing profession after graduating from the Raleigh School of Practical Nursing. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering care for her patients were her hallmark.

Patsy's passions included the serene beauty of Biltmore's gardens, which she often visited with her sisters, the joy of fishing, the tranquility of reading, the sands of Carolina Beach, and the majestic mountains of Asheville. To be counted among Patsy's friends was to know a bond unbroken by time or distance. Above all, she cherished her family, whose presence was the cornerstone of her life. Her siblings held a special place in her heart, and her grandchildren were the twinkle in her eye, bringing her immeasurable joy.

The hummingbirds she adored are a testament to Patsy's love for the delicate beauty of nature.

Patsy is lovingly remembered by her son, Joseph Michael Brown and his wife, Heather, of Bunn, NC; her daughter, Sharon Brown Walton and her husband, Robert Paul, of Carolina Beach, NC; her sister, Jackie Day, of Fuquay Varina, NC; and her seven adored grandchildren, Crystal Walton, Jeremy Brown, Tracy Usilton (Larry), Jessica Corbin (Chris), Mikel Jenkins, Jordin Ray, and Taylor McCrea; and her 11 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Montlawn Funeral Home. The funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. in the Montlawn Funeral Home chapel, with interment to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, where Patsy will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Patsy Weathers Brown's memory to the Activity Fund at Laurels of Forest Glenn in Garner, NC. May her soul rest in peace as her memory continues to inspire love and kindness in all who know her.
