Jonesville - The Lord called home His precious angel, Patsy Gale Patterson Stokes Burch, on November 18, 2024, at the age of 79. Patsy was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend who left a legacy of faith, kindness, and selfless service.
Patsy was born to Alvin “Pat” Patterson and Naomi Long Patterson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her cherished brother, Ronald “Ron” Patterson. Patsy’s heart was always full of love for her family, and she is survived by her two children: Julie Stokes Pruett and husband Ryan of Hickory, and Joseph Clay Stokes and wife Missy of Yadkinville. She was the proud and devoted grandmother of Sophia Rayne Pruett, Chloe Isabelle Pruett, and Zane Joseph Stokes, who brought endless joy to her life.
Patsy dedicated 28 years of her career as a Certified Dental Assistant, serving alongside Dr. Tom Austin, Dr. Lam Chu, and Dr. Monty Hiatt. She was a source of comfort and professionalism to patients and colleagues alike.
Her life was a testament to her unwavering faith in the Lord. Patsy joyfully served at Jonesville First Baptist Church for many years, working in the nursery, tending the church library, and greeting members and visitors with her warm smile. She also contributed her organizational talents as a teller, ensuring her church community was supported in every way possible.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in Patsy’s honor at 12:00 PM Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Jonesville First Baptist Church, with Dr. Roger Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at Jonesville First Baptist Church. A private graveside ceremony will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Jonesville First Baptist Church, 134 Winston Road, Jonesville, NC 28642, or Mountain Valley Hospice, 516 Hawthorne Drive, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
Patsy touched countless lives with her loving spirit, unwavering faith, and gentle kindness. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of God’s grace, and her memory will remain a blessing.
