Barbara Burch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Starr Funeral Home, Inc. - Hemphill on Jan. 14, 2026.
Barbara Lynn Burch, known affectionately as Lynn, passed away on January 13, 2026, in San Augustine, Texas, at the age of 66. Born on March 5, 1959, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she was a cherished daughter of the late Norman and Bobbie Sarver. Lynn grew up in Sabine County, graduating from West Sabine High School in 1977.

Lynn dedicated many years as the owner and operator of Randy's Drive In in Pineland, where she was a familiar face known for her warm conversations and meticulous care in closing up shop each evening. A loving housewife and mother, she filled her home with the same warmth and attention she devoted to her business.

Her love for music and singing was matched by her enjoyment of ceramics, crafting many beautiful pieces over the years. Lynn's role as "Nan" to her grandchildren was perhaps her most cherished.

Lynn is survived by her son, Kris Burch and his partner, Michelle Myrann, and daughter, Angela "JoJo" Jones and her husband, Kaylyb, all of Pineland. She also leaves behind her sister, Kathy Lindsey and her husband Coleman, of Bronson, and her beloved grandchildren, Cynlee Richardson, Allie Burch, Hadley Jones and Grayer Jones.

Lynn's life will be honored with graveside services on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Plainview Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Floyd Wright. Serving as pallbearers are Kris Burch, Randy Burch, Kaylyb Jones, Rodney Burch, Coleman Lindsey and Gerald Wood.

Visitation will be held on the same day from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Both the visitation and service are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home, located in Hemphill, Texas.

In remembering Lynn, we recall a life beautifully lived and a heart generously loved. Her spirit and legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
