Mrs. Patsy Chapman, 76, of Ellaville, passed away at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital on February 7, 2025. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, February 9, 2025, in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Chapman officiating.
Mrs. Chapman was born October 22, 1948, in Americus, GA to Sylvester Dean and Daisy Evelyn Yarbrough Owen. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for all her family. Mrs. Chapman enjoyed reading, watching TV, and puzzle games on the tablet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Benjamin Chapman, Jr., two grandsons, Jojo Chapman and Jarrett Chapman; and three brothers, Hilton Owen, Dickey Owen, and James Owen.
Survivors include her daughter, Charmon Chapman of Ellaville, GA; five grandchildren, Tyler Chapman, Hillary & Brian Crider, Benjamin Jarrett Chapman, Kaelynn Riley Chapman, and Evan Lee Chapman; four great-grandchildren, Alahna Crider, Elijah Crider, Lailah Crider, and Joziah Crider; and a close cousin, Rufus “Pete” Yarbrough.
