Patsy Cross Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burbage Funeral Home - Berlin on Feb. 24, 2026.
Patsy Gail Cross, age 83, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Millsboro, Delaware. Born in Lynch, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Teril Hunsucker and Mary Magdalene (Hogg) Hunsucker.

Patsy Cross was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. She was a strong woman of faith who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity. Our Mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched. Growing up, Mom was always there for us, whether we needed help with our homework or just a shoulder to cry on, we were assured she would take it to the Lord in prayer. She was a strong woman of faith, and she instilled in us the importance of faith, family and friends. Our Mother was a true role model who we will forever look up to. Mother, you will always be in our hearts, and we look forward to seeing you again someday in heaven.

She is survived by her husband, Russell H. Cross, a son, Russell C. Cross, four daughters, Donna Parker (Kevin), Sheila Collins (John), Tonya Timmons (Charlie), and Fawn Howard (Douglas), two brothers, James Lee Hunsucker (Bonnie), and Rusty Hunsucker (Stephanie), and three sisters, Rebecca Lathbury, Tammy Lathbury, and Judy Mallinger (Carl). Additionally, she is survived by 12 grandchildren, Zac Parker, Autumn Anderson, Forrest Bassett, Taylor Cross, Courtney Cross, Christopher Timmons, Chad Timmons, Rachael Cross, Rebecca Stapleton, Katherine Adkins, Shane Cross, Jr., and Tori Grundman. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Shane Cross, two brothers, Richard Glen Hunsucker, and Buddy James Hunsucker, and a sister, Kathleen Travis.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 3:00PM, at Church of God Prophecy on Old Ocean City Boulevard in Berlin, Maryland. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Gardens Cemetery in Newark, Maryland. Online condolences can be shared with the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in the care of The Burbage Funeral Home.
