PATSY GIBSON
Patsy Viola "Nana" Blackwell Gibson, 84, of Seneca, SC, passed away peacefully at Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC. She was born on July 27, 1941, in Seneca to the late Arthur Blackwell and Eunice Certain Blackwell.
Patsy was the devoted wife of the late Preston Gibson and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a seamstress with Jantzen in Seneca, where her skill and dedication were well known. Patsy's greatest joy was her family, and she poured her love into every stitch of her life, whether through her work, her church, or her home.
She faithfully attended Mt. Vernon Holiness Church, where she found strength in her faith and cherished the fellowship of her church family.
Patsy is survived by her children, Delane Gibson (Belinda Brown) of
Westminster, SC; Jerome Gibson (Rhonda) of Fair Play, SC; and Earlene Gibson Wood (Gary). She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Blackwell of Fair Play, SC; her sisters, Janice Gambrell of Sandy Springs, SC, and JoAnne Gibson of Richland, SC. Patsy leaves behind eight beloved grandchildren and seventeens great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Loretta Gibson.
Patsy will be remembered as a kind, gentle soul who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. Her legacy lives on in the family she adored and the lives she touched.
A funeral service to honor Patsy's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Sandifer Funeral Home prior to the service.
