Patsy Edwards Gilmore

Patsy Gilmore, 78, of West, MS, passed away December 30, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 5, 2026, at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel in Kosciusko, MS. Burial will follow the services at West Cemetery in West, MS. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko, MS, and again Monday an hour prior to the service.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 60 years Jerry Gilmore; daughter Suzi Williams (Randy); son Chris Gilmore (Shelley); sister Carolyn White (Steve); brother-in-law J D Hudson; and sisters-in-law Betty Edwards and Linda Edwards; grandchildren Cory Deason, Carlee Carpenter (James Barry), Maddy Gilmore (Jake), and Jackson Gilmore; great-grandchildren Korbyn Deason, Delta Rose Carpenter, Banks Carpenter, and Riverlynn Carpenter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Unity Baptist Church. Patsy retired first from Jitney Jungle as a bookkeeper. She and her husband then were house parents for the Baptist Children's Village in Brookhaven, MS for 10 years.

Pat Pat, as she was known to her family and friends, loved to work in the yard. She loved to cut grass, rake leaves, and set fires.

She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Gladys Bruce Edwards; brothers Pete Edwards and Johnny Edwards; sisters Patricia Edwards, Mary Edwards Hudson, and Betty Ann Edwards Willis.
