Patsy L. Given, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on October 18, 2025. She was born to the late Rosalie and Vaden Ashley Sr. on August 9, 1937 in Widen, WV.
Patsy enjoyed teaching art for many years at Lancaster City Schools. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, and she adored her many grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul E. Given; children, Lou Ann (Steven) Ross and Nathan (Sarah Zimmerman) Given; grandchildren, Kyle (Lydia Bateman) Ross, Matthew (Nicole) Ross; Rachel Ross, Piper Given, Naomi Brown, and Isaac (Hannah) Brown; great grand children, Gabriel, Leland, Adrian and Oliver Ross; siblings, Dorothy (Robert) Ellis, Vaden Ashley Jr., Louis Ashley, Robert (Judy) Ashley, and Sheila Liston; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service officiated by Rev. Nikki Baker will take place at 4 PM on Friday, October 24, 2025 in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Family and friend may visit from 2 PM until the time of the service on Friday.
Memorials may be given in Patsy’s name to the First United Methodist Church Scholarship Fund, First United Methodist Church,163 East Wheeling Street, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
