Patsy Gomez, age 97, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Heritage in Corbin, Kentucky.
Patsy was a woman of unwavering faith, a devout Christian who dedicated her life to following the teachings of the Bible. Her faith was not merely a belief, but a way of life. She found joy in tending to her garden, but her true passion lay in reading her Bible and sharing the message of God's salvation through Jesus Christ. She was a beacon of light and hope, touching the lives of those around her with her kindness and humility. As stated in Matthew 5:16, "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Patsy embodied this verse wholeheartedly, her life a testament to her devotion and love for the Lord.
Patsy was preceded in death, by her husband, Al Gomez; daughter, Linda Ftacek; her parents, Robert and Lola Brewer Wells; and by her siblings, Glen, Donnie, and Mabel.
She is survived by her loving children, Jeff Gomez (Lisa), and Debbie Adams (Dwayne); grandchildren, Tonya, Duane, Gina, Michelle, Justin, Kaleb, Aaron, Jake, Joe and Alexus; and by a host of great grandchildren.
Visitation for Patsy will be held from 1 - 3 pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3 pm with Revs. Mark and Tammy Gilbert officiating.

Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin. Honorary pallbearers are the Angels/Staff at the Heritage Nursing Home.
