Patsy Ann Hambright

Patsy Ann Hambright, age 60, passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, & friend whose strength & kindness touched many lives.
Born on October 29, 1964, Patsy was the daughter of Marshell & Claudell Bearden. She lived a life rooted in love & faith, always putting others first. She was a courageous fighter who faced breast cancer with strength & grace.
Patsy shared a strong & loving marriage with her husband, Dennis Hambright. Together they raised a wonderful family: Hunter Hambright, Josh Henson, Andrew Hambright, Adam Henson, Casey Henson, Hank Henson & cherished her four daughters in love Kendra Henson, Jennifer Hambright, Trisha Henson & Holly Cantrell.
Patsy was also a proud grandmother to Meka Tankersley (Koby), Katie Hambright, Maddy Hambright, Annie Hambright, Griffin Hambright, Emmy Henson, Bodhi Henson, Brooke Henson, Gage Henson, & Marlee Henson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshell & Claudell Bearden, & her infant son, Hayden Patrick Hambright (2003).
Patsy is also survived by her mother-in-law, Lorinda Hambright, her siblings Diane Smith & John Bearden, her sister-in-law, Judi Rose, her sister by choice Andy Newport, & her dear friend David Green (Connie), along with many other loved ones & friends.
For 15 years, Patsy was a devoted bus driver for the Whitfield County School System, where she cared deeply for the students she served. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, strong faith, & the way she always showed up for the people she loved.
In honor of Patsy's courageous fight & vibrant spirit, she made a special request that all who attend her service wear pink & grey, the colors representing breast cancer awareness & strength.
Patsy held close to her heart the words of Deuteronomy 31:6:
"Be strong & courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."
Patsy's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family & friends.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Monday, July 7, 2025 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 10:00am at the Pleasant Grove Chapel with Pastor Charles Rogers, Pastor Michael Gazaway, and Pastor Jeremy Cronan officiating.
Burial will be at United Memorial Gardens.
