Patsy Harlovic Obituary
AUSTINTOWN - Patsy "Pat" Harlovic, 85, passed away peacefully Monday evening, February 12, 2024.
Patsy was born June 13, 1938, in Mount Alto, West Virginia, the eldest of two daughters to Elsie Mae and Bernard Durst.
She was a proud graduate of Mineral Ridge High School, class of 1956, where she was in the band, a cheerleader and was crowned prom queen. Patsy subsequently earned an associate degree from the University of Pittsburgh.
Patsy worked as a flight attendant for United Airlines, a career counselor for the Wilma Boyd Career School and as a travel agent. Throughout her career, Patsy enjoyed traveling to many states and countries. During her travels, while visiting Virginia Beach, Patsy met Frank "Herky" Harlovic who was stationed there while serving in the United States Navy. Frank and Pat were married September 21, 1963. Together, Patsy and Frank lead a rich and fulfilling life for 48 years, filled with family gatherings, dinner outings with friends, traveling and cheering on their beloved Pittsburgh Steelers until Frank passed away on June 6, 2011.
Pat was an avid golfer and tennis player. She was also a gifted artist, painting beautiful watercolor paintings. Beyond her hobbies, Pat also enjoyed volunteering with two organizations very near and dear to her, the Special Olympics and the Clipped Wings Stewardess Alumni Charity. One of the highlights of Patsy's life was being able to volunteer at the Special Olympics in Switzerland.
Patsy leaves to forever cherish her memory her sister, Barbara Moransky (Joseph Sullivan); her niece, Dr. Marlo (Jamie) Miller; her nephew, Ryan (Renee) Moransky and two great-nieces, Madelynn and Katelynn Miller.
Patsy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Private family services will be held at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
Patsy will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies beside her beloved husband, Frank.
