Patsy Ann Harman of Sherman, Texas, passed away at the age of 88 on April 27th at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Her husband, Ray Harman, was by her side.
Mrs. Harman was born in Denison, Texas, on January 8th, 1937. She was the youngest of four children, the daughter of H. S. VanKirk and Hattie MaryAnn Lambert VanKirk. She grew up in Denison and graduated from Denison High School in 1955.
In the summer of 1958, she met 2Lt Raymond A. Harman while he was stationed at Perrin AFB. They married in Denison on August 9th of the same year. Pat, as she was known, spent the next eighteen years as an Air Force wife, living in several states and in Europe.
Following Ray's retirement from the service in 1976, they returned to Texas and settled in Sherman. Pat entered the real estate profession, where she worked until 1986.
Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sherman, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She enjoyed the herb club and gardening, and she loved antiquing and traveling. Pat's faith and her family were her greatest joy.
