Patsy (Gilbert) Hermanson, 85 years old, passed away peacefully on Sept. 7, 2025. She was born at home in Milton, WI on June 4, 1940 to Charlie & Eva (Burhans) Gilbert. She graduated from Evansville High School in 1958. In the yearbook that year, written next to her name was, “If smiles were worth a penny, she would be a millionaire.” In 1957 she was Prom Queen and in 1958 she was Evansville Fourth of July Queen.

Patsy married LeRoy “John” Hermanson on May 29, 1960 and they farmed until 1983. Patsy then went to work at the Brooklyn State Bank and was a teller in the banking industry for 30 years. She was well-known by customers and family for her cookies and kringles. John & Pat loved to dance from high school on. They danced the “Sheboygan” at every dance and also learned to square dance. They were also involved in several Evansville Little Theater plays.

Patsy adored her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. They were truly her joy! She was never able to say “No” to any of them.

Patsy is survived by son, Michael (Shannan De Witt) Hermanson; daughter, Christine (Mark) Doll; grandchildren, Matt (Rachel) Doll, Christian Doll, Noah Doll, Maggie Hermanson & Catie Hermanson, great-granddaughter Maven Finazzo Doll; sisters Ruthie Davis and Phylis Kozak; sisters-in-law Kathy (Jerry) Polich, Angie (Jerry) Jorgenson, Catherine Hermanson, Julie Hermanson; brother-in-law Rex Blum; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, John Hermanson; son, Greg Hermanson; daughter, Cynthia Hermanson; parents Charlie & Eva Gilbert; sisters Evelyn Alme and Donna Woodworth; nephew, Jack Alme; brothers-in-law Herb Hermanson & Dean Hermanson; sisters-in-law Marcella Cochrane and Karen Blum.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton with Pastor Mark Petersen presiding. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
