Patsy Hunt

Patsy Jones Hunt, age 87, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday April 24, 2025 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Grady Jones and Martha Jenkins Jones. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Hunt, and her siblings: Truitt Jones, Don Jones, Ralph Jones, Freddie Jones, infant brother Robert Jones, Becky Thompson, Vanda Jones, and Geraldine Clements.
Patsy was a dedicated homemaker who loved to sew and also make clothing for her children. She loved her entire family and will be missed dearly. In her spare time she loved canning, and flowers. She was a former member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Daniel Hunt, Sharon Mims, and Kimberly Kiser, her grandchildren: Joni Ashe (Bryan), Trisha Summerville (David), Tyler Mcelwaine (April), and Amanda Hunt Owens (Derek), nine great grandchildren, her sister in law Marcine Jones, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday April 28, 2025 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
