Obituary published on Legacy.com by Benton County Funeral Home on Apr. 9, 2025.
Patsy Leona (Rench) Keim went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of April 7, 2025. She was 97 years young and born on May 18, 1927, in Sabetha, Kansas to Stella & Leon Rench. She went to school in Sabetha from grade school until 11th grade when the family moved to Santa Ana, California where she completed high school.
She married Charles Keim right after high school in 1945 and he enlisted in the US Navy. Patty was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her two children, Deborah Ann in 1951 and Terry Allen in 1956. They lived in Sabetha, Salina, Kansas and Kansas City, Kansas and finally in Rogers Arkansas. She also was a cafeteria manager in Kansas City and Rogers for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Teresa, and husband Chuck.
Patty and Chuck spent many years running in road races, boating on Beaver Lake, and traveling after Chuck's retirement. Patty was a wonderful cook and baker, known for her Kool-aid pie, and enjoyed cooking for the many visitors they had over the years. Everyone enjoyed receiving birthday, anniversary, holiday and just because cards. These will always be a treasured reminder of her thoughtfulness.
Patty and Chuck had an inspirational love for each other that lasted 69+ years. Patty had a strong Christian faith that left a lasting legacy on her family and friends. While we will miss her terribly, we rejoice in knowing she is now in Heaven with God and reunited with Chuck.
She is survived by daughter Debby Cernech & husband Martin of Basehor KS; son Terry and wife Jan of Bixby, Ok; grandson Ben Cernech and wife Melissa of Lee's Summit Mo; granddaughter Christy Whittington of Bixby, Ok; granddaughter Jennifer Haltom and husband Cory of Bixby Ok, granddaughter Chelsea Keim of Tulsa, Ok; and great grandchildren Annie Cernech, Nathan Cernech, Mackenzie Haltom, Carter Haltom; Logan Whittington, Landry Whittington & Lucy Whittington and numerous nieces, & nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Innisfree Senior Living Community where she spent her last years enjoying all the activities; Grace Baptist for their love & support as her second family, and Circle of Life Hospice for their compassionate end of life care.
