Patsy Standlee Kessler, age 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Lewisville, Texas. Patsy was born January 12, 1945, in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Milton Miller and Ona Mae Standlee. Patsy married her beloved husband, David on May 15, 1971, in Augusta, Georgia and they settled in Lewisville where they raised their son, Kevin.

After receiving her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Georgia, Patsy spent a short time as a science teacher before she turned to a career of travel and service. She was a lifelong adventurer who then spent 36 years as a Delta Airlines flight attendant, where she met her husband. Her career took her around the world, but it was her warmth, grace, and infectious laugh that truly touched everyone she encountered-both in the air and on the ground.

When she retired, Patsy continued her journey through life with David, traveling across the country in their RV. Patsy was an active travel enthusiast and held several positions in the Family Motor Coach Association. Together, they explored, led, and organized countless RV rallies throughout the United States. Patsy and David particularly loved visiting US National Parks, finding joy and wonder in nature's beauty and the open road.

Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David, and her parents, Milton Miller and Ona Mae Standlee. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Nora Kessler; her sister, Doris Elaine Standlee; and granddaughters, Jules and Ryann Kessler.

A private family celebration of Patsy's life will be held at her favorite national park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to The Center for Dementia Research.
