Patsy Lawrence, a beloved member of the community of Rotan, passed away on August 17, 2025. She was born on May 9, 1937, in Big Spring, Texas to Reecie Clyde and Flora Lurene (Deel) Blount.
Patsy was a strong Christian and a dedicated member of the Methodist Church. She had a kindness about her that was obvious, and a faith in the Lord that was unmistakable. Anyone who knew her saw God's love through her.
Patsy cherished her children and grandchildren, showing a strong and giving heart throughout her life.
She is survived by her grandson Jeremy Lawrence and wife Ashlyn of San Angelo, Texas, granddaughter Christina Andrews and wife Melony of Spring, Texas, daughter Sharon Dooney of San Angelo, Texas, granddaughter Stacie Cook and husband James of Wichita Falls, Texas, granddaughter Shiela Owens and husband Justin of Odessa, Texas, daughter Shirley Griffice and husband Mike of Brady, Texas, granddaughter Candy Moore and husband Ronnie of Lohn, Texas, grandson Johnny Griffice of Houston, Texas, grandson Garland Griffice and wife Annalise of Midland, Texas and many cherished great-grandchildren.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe Don Lawrence, her son Jimmy Don Lawrence, and her brothers Jim and Richard Blount. She will be remembered fondly by her family and community for her warmth and devotion.
The family will be hosting a Memorial Service on September 20, 2025 at the Rotan Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rotan Methodist Church Memorial Account in Patsy's honor.
