Steven Wayne Baker, born on January 20, 1954, in Fairbanks, Alaska, passed away on March 29, 2026. He grew up in Rotan, Texas, and graduated from Hamlin High School in 1972. Steven was a dedicated computer programmer, a career he pursued with passion and skill.
Steven enjoyed simple pleasures. He loved fishing, watching NASCAR races, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings. These hobbies brought him joy and were a part of his everyday life.
He was proud to have been a Grand Master Mason, a role that represented commitment and honor in his life. This accomplishment was one of the highlights and sources of pride for Steven.
Steven is survived by his three daughters: Jolene Sinkule and her husband Carl, Jill Oliver and her husband Matt, and Janiece Baker. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Lacey, Lindsey, Bella, Alex, Johnathon, and Rowan. His sister, Cheryl Clayton, and brother, Neal Baker, along with many cousins, nephews, and extended family, remember him fondly and carry on his legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Wanza Baker, as well as his sister, Nancy, and brother, Roy.
Steven Wayne Baker lived a life filled with family, friendship, and simple joys. He will be missed by all who knew him.
