It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Patsy Kotecki, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this life on May 8, 2025 at the age of 82.
Patsy met her soulmate, Tony Kotecki, in the innocence of her teen years, and from that moment on, their hearts were never apart. For 65 years, their union stood as a testament to the power of love, partnership, and enduring faithfulness. Together, they created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion - a family that was, and always would be, the very center of Patsy's heart. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a compassionate grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Rockstroh and son-in-law Lawrence Rockstroh, Jr., and daughter Jennifer Kotecki; her grandchildren Daniel Kikola Jr. and his wife Ashley; Amanda Kikola; Joseph Kikola; Jessica Wheat and her husband Tyler; and Brandon Kotecki and her great-grandchildren Grady Kikola, Aurora Wheat, Addison Wheat, and Ares Wheat. Her legacy lives on through all of their lives.
Patsy was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy, whose memory she cherished always.
Patsy found deep joy in the natural world. With a true green thumb and a deep admiration for the earth, she created gardens that bloomed with beauty and care. Her love for animals was instinctive and wholehearted - a reflection of her gentle soul and nurturing spirit. Whether tending to her flowers or caring for creatures great and small, Patsy radiated kindness in everything she touched.
Patsy carried herself with quiet strength and an unwavering commitment to those she held close. Although two of her children, Tony and Diana, chose to remain estranged, she carried no bitterness and always held hope for healing and reconciliation.
She shared a lifelong bond with many of her family including Sr. Mary Elaine Lechert, a devoted member of the Felician Sisters, whose faith and loving presence were a source of deep comfort and connection throughout Patsy's life.
She will be remembered not just for the life she lived, but for the lives she quietly and beautifully touched.
A private service will be held in accordance with her wishes. The family invites those who knew her to honor her memory in their own personal way, and to hold their loved ones close.
