Mrs. Patsy Ann "Pat" McCollum Massey

Mrs. Patsy "Pat" Ann McCollum Massey, 80, of Canon, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Massey was born in Royston, GA on November 22, 1943, daughter of the late Joe Alvin McCollum and the late Floy Gable McCollum. She was a bank teller having worked for Pinnacle Bank and could easily be mistaken as a Dill's Food City employee where she was a dedicated and almost daily shopper. Mrs. Pat was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, where she was very involved with her Sonshiner's Sunday School Class, a member of the "From Mourning to Joy" widows small group at the Pointe Church, and enjoyed attending church with her granddaughter at New Bethel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" Eugene Massey.
Survivors include her daughters, Sandy Whitworth of Canon, and Angy Fowler (Sandy) of Canon; brother, Larry McCollum of Elberton, GA; sisters, Brenda Duncan of Royston, GA, Marie Fuller of Martin, GA, and Shirley Mouchet of Bowersville, GA; and grandchildren, Riley Jessian Whitworth, Presley Roper Whitworth, Josey Kate Fowler, Brock Stewart Fowler, and Axton Tate Winnie, whom is a blessing from God and is considered a grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Massey will be held in the New Bethel Baptist Church at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2024, with Rev. Joey Gilbert, Mr. Joey Cheek, and Rev. Reggie Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakview Cemetery in Canon.
The family will receive friends at New Bethel Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Saturday afternoon. During other times the family will be at the home of Sandy Whitworth; 1246 Rice Creek Road, Canon, GA 30520.
