Mr. Milton "David" Phillips Jr.

Mr. Milton David Phillips, Jr., 82, of Canon, GA passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Phillips was born in Royston, GA on January 31, 1943, son of the late Milton David Phillips, Sr. and the late Lucille Winn Phillips. He previously worked at Hart County Hospital in the maintenance department and was a United States Army Reserve veteran. Mr. Phillips was a very active member of the Redwine Church for as long as his health permitted and loved animals, especially his dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Pierce Phillips; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Leigh Phillips of Bowersville, GA; siblings, Joy Meunier (Jim) of Athens, GA, Winston Phillips (Delane) of Royston, GA, and Flora Alice Brown (Jerry) of Canon, GA; granddaughter, Katie Phillips; and great granddaughter, Rylynn Brown.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillips will be held in the Redwine Church at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, with Dr. Tim Baer and Rev. Adam Veal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Redwine Church from 2:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Friday afternoon. During other times the family will be at their respective homes.

Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Redwine Church.
