Patsy McCraw, age 84, of Henrietta, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.
Patsy was born Saturday, December 23, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late Ed Hodge, Sr. and Ruth Brooks Hodge. She was a graduate of Ellenboro High School. Patsy worked in textiles for several years and as a Relief Operator at PPG Industries for twenty-three years before retirement. She was a longtime member of High Shoal Baptist Church where she served on the Food Committee and taught Vacation Bible School. Patsy enjoyed traveling and crocheting. Her life’s passion was spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Claude McCraw; a son, Glenn McCraw and brothers, Ed Hodge, Jr. and Hoyt Hodge.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving daughters, Rhonda Tipton (Randy) of Henrietta and Shelly Mashburn (Donnie Hudson of Henrietta) of Casar, NC; brother, Billy Dean Hodge (Yoshi) of Newport News, Virginia; grandsons, Scott Burgess (Lindsey Ledford) of Henrietta and Paul Mashburn of Henrietta and two great-grandchildren, Sophia Bailey and Olivia Mode.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 20th at High Shoal Baptist Church with Reverend Shane Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
