Josh Williams

Josh Williams, age 34, of Henrietta, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Shelby.

Josh was born October 8, 1991 in Henderson County, NC to Rhonda Gibson who resides in Henrietta and to the late Albert Lee Williams, Jr.

Josh was a graduate of Hickory High School, class of 2009. He most recently worked as a delivery driver for Amazon until an accident left him disabled. He was known for his great-heartedness and his desire to help others. Josh was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and NC Tar Heels. He was also an avid collector of Jordan and Nike Athletic shoes. Josh had accepted Christ as his Savior and was of the Baptist faith. His greatest joy came from spending time with his nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alex Deal and grandmother, Gwendolyn Ledford.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Dwayne Gibson of Henrietta; siblings, Dustin Williams, Alex Williams, Austin Williams (Emily), Cierra Pritchard (Jarrod) and Dalton Abee (Miranda); grandmother, Glenda Deal and his cherished nephews, Kayden and Kolton Williams.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 22nd at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
