Patsy Monteith, age 90, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 4, 2025, at Hillsboro Health and Rehab.
She was born on August 16, 1935, in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Winfred and Ada Mae (Gilletly) Rhoads.
Patsy was a member of Cynthiana Church of Christ in Christian Union and had retired from Rotary Forms after 30+ years of dedicated service. She loved reading, putting together puzzles, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Jim) Gregory of Hillsboro; two sons, Albert Monteith of Sugartree Ridge and Perry (Karen) Monteith of Bethel; bonus son, Dave (Leslie) Anders; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Rhoads; sister, Beverly Chaney; sister-in-law, Pat Rhoads; friend and neighbor, Rosalind Turley; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by husband, Albert Raymond Monteith; son, Dale Edward Monteith; two granddaughters: Trisha Gregory and Julie Monteith; one great-grandson, Charles Leeth; four brothers: Russell Rhoads, Ted Rhoads, Frank (June) Rhoads, and Tom Rhoads; sister-in-law, Shirley Rhoads; and a brother-in-law, Larry Chaney.
Funeral Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 E. Main St., Hillsboro, on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brad Huffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Roads Cemetery, Rainsboro.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the services.
