Patsy Nugent

Patsy Cecilia Ann Nugent, lovingly known as "Pat" to friends and "Nana" to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, went home to be with the Lord on November 8, 2025, surrounded by her family in Dallas, Georgia. She was born on April 9, 1944, in Augusta, Georgia, to Marie Elise Masters and William Ernest Masters.
Pat was a humble servant of the Lord whose kindness and love touched everyone she met. She had a beautiful voice that she shared joyfully at weddings and in her church choir, using her gift to glorify God. Her faith guided her life, and she made sure everyone who crossed her path knew they were loved - both by her and by Jesus.
Family was at the heart of everything Pat did. She was first married to Lester Burdell Andrews, with whom she shared 23 years and four wonderful children - Rhonda Andrews West (Mark) with children Allen and Elise; Thomas Burdell Andrews (Wendy) with children Linsey, Savannah, Candace, Megan, Thomas Jr., and Palyn; Karen Andrews Nunnelley (Kenny) with children Brandon, Bradley, and Morgan; and Mary-Katherine Andrews Lee (Jacques Sr.)with children Jacques II and Elizabeth. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 18. Pat cherished each of her children deeply and made them feel loved. She was later married to her beloved husband, Rodger Leon Nugent, who preceded her in death. Pat was also preceded in death by her siblings Ethel Mae Taylor, Charles Masters Sr., William Ernest Masters Jr., and Florence-Marie Herron. She was the last of her brothers and sisters to be called home - a comforting reminder that their family is now joyfully reunited in Heaven.
Pat dedicated her professional life to service as well, retiring from the VA Hospital, where she worked faithfully as secretary to the chief. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith left a lasting impression on colleagues, friends, and family alike.
A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Carmichael Funeral Home, located at 1130 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and thanksgiving for her beautiful life.
Pat Nugent lived her life as a shining example of love, faith, and kindness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit and song will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
