Patsy "Pat" Jones

Patsy "Pat" Gail Owens Jones, 68, passed away on March 15, 2025 at the NMMC- Gilmore in Amory.  She was born on July 6, 1956 in Chicago to the late Boyd and Artvie Palmer Owens.  As a child, Pat moved all across the United States while her father was in the Marine Corps.  Eventually they settled in Monroe County.  She attended Caledonia School and married Mark Jones on June 30, 2000.  Pat worked several years in the area furniture industry as a seamstress before becoming disabled.  She enjoyed word puzzles, reading and making crafts to give to her friends and family at Christmas.  More than anything, she loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them.

Pat is survived by her husband, Mark Jones; children, Rickey Dale Otts, Jr., Aberdeen,  Leeann Freeman, Aberdeen and April Otts (Lee), Caledonia; stepson, Ben Jones, Aberdeen; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; special family members, Haley and Russ Walls, Sherlon Scott ; a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pat is preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Easter; siblings, Geneva Dodds, Jannette Pope, Betty Mills, Shirley Owens and Tony Owens.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, March20, 2025 at Cleveland Moffett Funeral Home in Amory with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until the service hour at 2 PM.
