Patsy Ann Wright Podbevsek, age 80, of Glenwood, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
She was born on October 8, 1942, in Glenwood, the daughter of Cloyd Herbert Wright and Mildred Marie Short Wright. On June 16, 1960, she was married to the true love of her life, Billy L. Podbevsek who preceded her in death on August 19, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lindee Lee Vaughn; her grandson, Nathaniel Lee Grant; and her parents.
She was a member of the Midway Missionary Baptist Church and for over forty years worked as a floral arranger for several different area florists, where she created hundreds of beautiful arrangements for many special occasions, bringing lots of happiness to numerous friends and family members. Patsy was also an avid seamstress, which brought her great joy and happiness in making countless beautiful dresses and many other things to share with her daughters, grandchildren and friends throughout the years.
Patsy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who above all, loved each and every member of her family with all her heart. She was an excellent cook, and had a generous, giving and accepting heart, always wanting to take care of everyone in her life. Patsy also had a love for animals, especially her Josie.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sherie and Bobby Grant of Glenwood; her three grandchildren and their spouses, Benjamin and Stephanie Grant, Whitney and Kylor Spurlin and KaLonie and Luke Palmer; her great-grandchildren, Ian Grant, Jaina Grant, Nora Grant, Leigha Grant, Amos David Grant, Bryson Spurlin, Ledger Spurlin, Ezekiel Palmer, Samuel Palmer and Hadassah Palmer; her son-in-law, Bruce Vaughn of Glenwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 3, 2022, in the Mount Tabor Cemetery with Bro. Bobby Lock officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, 209 North 3rd Street, Glenwood, AR 71943.
