Patsy Roberts

Patsy R. Roberts, 84, of Lorenzo, passed away on December 22, 2025. She was born on January 24, 1941, in Monahans, Texas to Elon Gibson and Lucille Sanders Gibson.

She married Byron Roberts on December 19, 1959, in Mexico. They shared 63 years of marriage together until Byron's passing in 2023. Patsy was a graduate of Texas Tech University and taught school for many years. She retired at Cal Farley's Boys Ranch after more than 25 years of teaching. She remained a devoted Baptist throughout her life and, in her later years, found fellowship at Lorenzo Methodist Church. She loved her family and puppies, and enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and playing cards

Patsy is survived by two sons, Monty Roberts and wife Jennifer of Lorenzo, and Randy Roberts and wife Janna of Denton, TX; one sister, Frances Covington of Pasco, WA; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one great-grandchild, Beaux McGee; 3 brothers -James Gibson, Teddy Benson, and Darryl Benson; and one nephew, James Gibson, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2025, from 4-6 PM, at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo. Funeral service will be 10 AM, Saturday, the 26th at Lorenzo Methodist Church. Interment will be at Terrace Cemetery in Post, TX.
