Patsy Jean Rose

Patsy Jean Rose, age 87, a lifelong Atoka, OK resident. She was born on Sunday, August 22, 1937, to Theodore Thomas and Winnie Lou (Williams) Lain, at Atoka, OK. Patsy passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at her home in Atoka, OK surrounded by her loved ones. She attended Star and Tushka Public Schools. Patsy was a rancher and a farmer. She married Gilbert Ray Rose on Thursday, October 2nd, 1969 at Poteau, OK. They celebrated over 41 years of marriage before his passing on August 25, 2010. Patsy was a longtime/lifelong member of Pleasant View Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed fixing fence, picking up pecans/sticks, cleaning up the place, picking from the gardens, (especially other peoples), watching the western channel everyday and loved spending time with her church family.
Patsy is survived by her daughters, Gloria Eddings of Tushka, OK, Deborah Coates of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Dean Coates and wife Shauna of Tushka, OK, Randi Avants of Tushka, OK, Shawn Williams and wife Martha of Chapel Hill, NC, Joshua Minor of Tushka, OK, Jeremiah Minor and wife Esther of Colorado Springs, CO, Jamie Richardson and husband Marion of Tushka, OK, James Paul Cobb and wife Amanda of North Pole, AK, Aaron Jay Cobb of Yukon, OK; a slough of great, and great great grandchildren, many loved and dear friends and a loving church family.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Winnie Lou Lain; husband, Gilbert Ray Rose; son, David Taylor; daughters, Karen Clark, Judith Taylor; brothers, Glenn Lain, Ted Lain; granddaughter, Heather Minor; great grandson, Grayson Coates; along with numerous extended family, in laws and friends.
