Patsy Scotting Obituary
Patsy Ann Scotting, 78, passed away on June 16, 2024 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on March 17, 1946 to Ralph and Cora Williams. She grew up with 12 siblings, one being her twin, Patrick. She married her husband, Gaylon Scotting, July 6, 1966. They had a 57 year long marriage that most people only dream of having. They have 8 children, Greg, Pam, Glenn, Gary, Patricia, Penny, Gerald, and Pascal. Sons-in-laws, John and Duane. Daughters-in-laws, Lynae, Jackie, Mandy, and Victoria. She was also blessed with 26 grandkids and 7 great grandkids. This list in incomplete because of her life long dedication to children and foster kids she also cared for.
Patsy was a woman of sincere faith who demonstrated her love for Jesus by loving and serving everybody that came in contact with her. She lived by the motto, There is always room for one more.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 4:00 PM at Montrose VFW (201 W Main Street) Montrose, SD. A family memorial service at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving rice for the chickens.
