Patsy Powell Sexton, 81, of Milton, Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Patsy was a native of Munson, Florida and was the first of four children born to the late Julian and Agnes Powell. She was a graduate of Pensacola State College, where she finished with her nursing degree. Patsy was a retired LPN with over 25 years of experience. She was also a devoted member of the Church of Christ.
She is preceded on death by her daughter, Lisa Sexton Pugh.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Willie C. Sexton, of Munson, Florida; a daughter, Teressa Sexton Duke of Munson, Florida; a granddaughter, Katrina (Matt) Martello-Figger of Amherst, Massachusetts; a grandson, Matthew Joel McCoy of Pulaski, Tennessee; and a great grandson, Vincent Martello-Figger.
A Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Lewis Funeral Home Milton Chapel, 6405 Highway 90 W Milton, Florida 32570, with visitation from 12:00-1:00pm and service at 1:00pm, interment will immediately follow at Brake Cemetery.
Pastor Mike Mefford officiating.
Pallbearers are Curtis Salter, Chase Brunson, Stewart Mulford, Michael Mulford, Chris Powell and John David Elliot. Honorary Pallbearers are Gale Brackins, Nicky Walker, Roy Allen, James Grant, Randy Walker and C. David Smith.
The Family wishes to thank Dr. C David Smith, of Jay and his entire staff, along with Emerald Coast Hospice for the Love and Care given to our Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, during her time of illness
