Patsy Slater Obituary
Somerville
Funeral for Patsy Ann Slater, 66, of Somerville will be Friday, August 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Ryan Childers and Brother Tommy Smothers officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Slater, who died Monday, August 27, 2012, was born October 28, 1945, in Winston Salem, North Carolina, to Liston Curtis Hicks and Alvilda Pardue Hicks. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.D. Slater; and by her parents.
Survivors include one son, Chris Slater of Somerville; two daughters, Cindy Slater Jernigan and Cathy Slater Johnson (Jeff), both of Somerville; and three grandchildren, Abby Johnson, Chloe Johnson and Brody Slater.
Pallbearers will be Larry Slater, Carlton Wilson, Joe Crow, Tim Crow, Mike Lemmond and Jeremy Johnson.
