Patsy Thrash Obituary
Funeral Services for Patsy Hare Thrash will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Eric Sharp officiating. Interment will follow in the Ocobla Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at McClain-Hays.
Mrs. Patsy Hare Thrash, 77, of Philadelphia passed away Friday, September 26, 2025.
Patsy was born and raised in Plattsburg, MS. to Major Lee and Maggie Lois Hare. She was employed for several years at Wells Lamont, where she caught a glimpse of her future husband Jack and the rest is history. After leaving Wells Lamont, she worked at Jerome Tanks until her retirement. She loved to sew, her animals, drinking coffee in the morning and she dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Patsy was a member of Ocobla Baptist Church. She will be missed and was dearly was loved by all.
Survivors include daughter; Evelyn Coats (Ray), Stephanie Wilcher (Barry) and Dawn Thrash; son; Robert Thrash (Nikki), granddaughters; Maggie Wilcher, Abbie Loper, Elsie Clair Thrash, grandsons; Scott Wilcher (Jennifer), Tyler Stokes (Kaleigh), Jon Dylan Ely (Alessandra), Hunter Thrash, great grandchildren; Jon Kyler Stokes and Jack Wiley Stokes; along with several nieces, nephews, friends and their families.
Mrs. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. “Jack” Thrash; parents; Major Lee and Maggie Lois Hare; sisters; Dorothy Rogers and Evelyn Hare; brothers, Lavon Hare and Harold Hare.
Pallbearers will be Jon Dylan Ely, Tamorrio Talley, Hunter Thrash, Tyler Stokes, Kevin Robertson and Jason Pierce.
