Patsy A. (Morey) Van Dootingh, 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 5, 2025 at Norwalk Memorial Home.
She was born on January 23, 1937 in Marietta, Ohio to Glenn and Evelyn (Few) Morey.
Patsy graduated from Townsend - Wakeman High School in 1955. For 69 years, she was a very active member of the Althea Chapter #438 Order of Eastern Star, where she held many offices including Treasurer, Secretary, Worthy Matron, Grand Representative to Alabama, Deputy Grand Matron and Chair of the Grand Chapter Heart Committee.
She also was a member of the Townsend Fire Belles and a member of the Citizens Ambulance Advisory Board for many years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed bird-watching, gardening, supporting Cleveland's sports teams, and attending her children and grandchildren's sports games. She showed her love through cooking and being present in the lives of her loved ones.
Patsy is survived by her children; George Jr. (Elaine), Greg, Gina, Gary, Brian (Lori), grandchildren; Ben, Matt, Jordan and Alexzandria, and great grandchildren; Tristan and Vivian.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George and her brother, Glenn Morey.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel, 16 Cooper Street, Wakeman. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am at Toft Funeral Home, Wakeman Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Citizens Ambulance Services, 14 Railroad Street, Wakeman, OH 44889.
