Patsy Ware passed away peacefully the evening of December 16th with her daughter by her side. An amazing woman of service is spending her first Christmas in Heaven.
Patsy Ware dedicated her life in service to others. This was exemplified by how she cared for her family and community; always putting them first. This standard of love followed her throughout her career; first, at Wonder Market, then Safeway, and ultimately retiring from Harvest Foods. During her last few years at Harvest Foods, she began volunteering at Jackson House Thrift Shop. After retiring, she became the manager and remained serving her community for thirteen years. Christmas at the thrift shop was her favorite season of all. It exemplified her true spirit of giving to ours. No matter the task, she accomplished it with a humble grace, never expecting any recognition. In her later years, she continued to bless her family with her beautiful smile and her playfully mischievous charm.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Jon Ware, her parents, and all five of her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Dorinda and her son-in-law Gary Hampton, Son Kyley and daughter in law Liz; five grandchildren, Kevin Hampton (Erin), Stephanie Avaritt (Andrew), Drew Hampton (Savannah), Mason and Brennan Ware, and Dyaln King; seven great-grandchildren, Sydney and Kenzie Hampton, Aubrey and Sophie Avaritt, Jett and Luca Hampton, and Harper Ware; several nieces and nephews and their families, and her Grand Ave. Baptist family of sixty years.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Hampton, Drew Hampton, Andrew Avaritt, Mason Ware, Brennan Ware, and Dylan King.
Honorary pallbearers are the ladies Sunday School class at Grand Ave. Baptist Church, Alex and Donna Smith, and Jesse Tucker.
