Patsy Ruth Watts

Hannah Ruth Terry, 79, previously of Barry, Texas, died Saturday, August 3, 2024, peacefully at the home of her son on Bonaire, Georgia. Hannah was born Patsy Ruth Melton on February 17, 1945, in Blooming Grove, Texas, the only child of Johnnie Dathen and Rith "Warine" Cagle Melton. Patsy graduated from Corsicana High School, Corsicana, Texas, and married Victor "Loyd" Watts on February 6, 1963. They were blessed with two sons, Johnny Lynn and Bobby Wayne. Loyd died from a fall on July 11, 1977. Patsy went to work to support her family at Texas Instruments and later in life worked at Russell Stover Candy Factory in Corsicana, Texas, and was a homa care giver, she was a generous, caring woman well suited for the work.
Patsy changed her name to Hannah Ruth Watts in her 50's, naming herself after an ancestor. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and her son Bobby Wayne. Hannah is survived by her son Johnny (Dena Sue) and fourteen grandchildren. Services were entrusted to Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana, Texas, with a visitation Friday August 9, 2024, starting at 9:00 am with a funeral service starting at 11:00 am at Corley Funeral Home. Burial to follow at 1:00 pm with Hannah being laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Dresden Cemetery in Dresden, Texas.
