Patsy Wegner Obituary
Patsy Matherne Wegner, 82, a native of Gheens, LA. and resident of Lockport, LA. went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 18, 2025 with her loving family near her side.
Patsy is survived by her husband; John E. Wegner, Sr., children; Don Babin (Tonette), Rod Babin (Kelly), John Wegner, Jr. (Tiffany), Angela “Angie” Dufrene (Jonathan), Heidi Dunn (Troy), and Susannah Wegner, grandchildren; Joey (Heather), Ryan (Amy), Caleb (Gracie). Brooke (Paul), Colby, Jace (Tori), Crystal, Matthew, Joshua (Katelyn), Olivia, Lea, Ian, Cameron, Brandon, Kristi (Andrew), and Adam (Meagan), great-grandchildren; 22, brothers; Robert, Patrick, Donald, Harold, and Gene Matherne.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; Cleveland and Eula Mae Brown Matherne, brothers; Wesley, Harrington, Allen, and Melvin Matherne, sisters; Bertha Rudolph, Nancy Ogle, Louella Rudolph and Sandra Matherne.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Grace Lutheran Church on Valhi Blvd. Houma, LA. from 9:00am until funeral time. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am at church with burial at Holy Savior Cemetery.
Patsy was an Alter Guild for Grace Lutheran Church. She loved gardening, cooking and baking. Her favorite time of the year were the holiday’s and she loved getting together with her family.
In lieu of Flowers donation to Grace Lutheran Church are preferred.
