Patsy Ruth Williams Zeagler, age 84, was born November 17, 1941, to Neal and Olly Graham Williams. She entered into rest peacefully surrounded by family at home on January 30, 2026, in Homer, LA. Patsy graduated from Ft. Necessity High School, in Ft. Necessity, LA. She met Curtis Zeagler and they married shortly after her high school graduation. Their moved to Columbia, LA, and started their family. She was a writer telling of her real-life childhood rural experiences. With her collection of stories, there was a house fire in their family home where all of her precious work was tragically lost. Patsy was smart, beautiful and a hard worker keeping her family clothed and fed continued nurturing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cooked everything from scratch with love and caring hands. A comment was made by her one day that, “if all her children remain close after her passing, I will have done my job.” Patsy was a loving sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-mother who will be greatly missed
She is preceded in death by her parents; father of her children, Curtis Eugene Zeagler; and son-in-law, Michael Roberts.
She is survived by her four sons, Michael Zeagler of Shongaloo, LA, Kenneth Zeagler of Homer, LA, Glen Zeagler of Homer, LA, and Curtis Randolph “Randy” Zeagler of Shongaloo, LA; two daughters, Teresa Zeagler Hickman and husband Neal and Barbara Zeagler Roberts all of Homer, LA: eleven grandchildren, Brooks Stapleton, Cody Howard, Joshua Zeagler, Heather Zeagler Murphy, Jacob Zeagler, Casey Zeagler, Dillon Zeagler, Michael Dallas Roberts, Caleb Roberts, Matthew Roberts, and Loranda Roberts Solomon; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Patsy’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Clifton Salmon and Passages Hospice, along with their staffs for the care and compassion shown her.
In lieu of flowers to honor Patsy, her family suggest making memorials to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or St. Mary’s in Alexandria, LA.
