Richard David Frischmann of Cary, North Carolina formerly of Tuckahoe, New York went peacefully to his eternal rest surrounded by his family and friends on January 2, 2026. Richard “Rich” was born on March 23, 1936 to Joseph and Catherine Frischmann of Ardsley, New York. Rich attended Lehigh University until he was drafted into the Army where he served as a Corporal and radio engineer stationed in Hawaii. When he returned, he worked in his father’s Sinclair gas station in Scarsdale New York. It was at this time that he met his wife, Immaculata Concetta (Lalla) Frischmann who pre-deceased Rich in 2019. Together they raised 2 surviving daughters, Lynn Bottone (Salvatore) of Cary, NC and Susan Simone (Michael) of Wilmington, NC both formerly from Yonkers, NY and five grandchildren, Gianna Bottone (Greg Grunenwald) of Greensburg, PA; Salvatore Bottone of Raleigh, NC; Vito Simone of Arlington VA; Genevieve Bottone of West Columbia, SC; and Michaella Simone of Wilmington, NC.
Rich loved nature and made friends with everyone he met. Rich’s true love was Lake George in upstate NY. His love for the lake spanned over 85 years. When he moved to North Carolina he spent many hours exploring the forests where he found great peace and solace. Most days you could find Rich sitting on a log at Vista Point at Jordan Lake. He made sure to tell people he met along his travels about the beauty around them and encouraging all to recognize the beauty he saw and experienced. From trees, to bees, to clouds Rich found beauty in everything and spent many hours writing about nature and his Lord.
A graveside service will be held for Rich at 2:00 pm on January 7, 2026 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Dr. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
