Patty Jayne Neimann, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, in her Chapman Lake home, Warsaw, Indiana. Born on January 5, 1938, in Elkhart, Indiana, she was a proud graduate of Elkhart High School, class of 1956.
In June 1958, she married Loren Bickel and together they had 3 children...Lindsey, Rodney and Kevin.
Patty worked as a bookkeeper/payroll manager for Printing House, Inc until she was remarried to Donald Neimann on August 1, 1975, when she then began working at his small business, New Jay Products, as the bookkeeper. Together, they moved to Bristol where they had a pontoon boat and enjoyed being on the river. Don passed in 1997 and she remained in Bristol until moving to her family's lake cottage in Warsaw in 2017
Patty loved her friends and family, spending many hours entertaining her sorority sisters, neighbors, and family in her home. She loved gardening and canning, cooking, baking, playing cards and working puzzles.
She and Don loved snow skiing and sailing where they kept a boat on Lake Michigan. Throughout her life, she spent many fun times in and on the water at Chapman Lake in Warsaw.
Patty was a very active member of the Alpha Phi Beta Chi Sorority, holding offices, traveling to conventions, fundraising and spending many fun times with her dear sorority sisters serving her community.
She is survived by her daughter, Lindsey (Steven) Rogers from Vista, CA; her sons, Rodney (Donna) Bickel from Goshen, IN, and Kevin (Barbara) Bickel from Middlebury, IN; step-daughter, Cheryl (Greg) Akin from Elkhart, IN; six grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 6 great-step-grandchildren and her sister-in-law, Jean Robinson of Elkhart.
Patty was preceded in death by her first husband, Loren Bickel, her second husband, Don Neimann, her brother, Jim Robinson, and her parents, Howard and Helen Robinson, all from Elkhart.
Patty Jayne Neimann will be remembered for her warm presence, generous spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and joy that will continue through those she loved.
Donations in memory of Patty, in lieu of flowers, may be given to Wounded Warriors or Tunnels to Towers.
