Mrs. Patty Welch Parker, 66, of Salem, AL died peacefully Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Bethany House in Auburn, AL, with her family by her side.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am EST Monday, November 24, 2025 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Lynn McManious officiating. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parker was born December 4, 1958 in Phenix City, AL, daughter of the late James W. Welch and Emma L. Jordan Welch. She worked for several years as the Director of the Child Care Network and most recently retired from the Christian Child Development Center. Mrs. Parker enjoyed being out in her yard and would ride her lawn mower, even when she was not cutting grass. Additionally, she enjoyed puzzles and Alabama football. However, her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. Mrs. Parker was a faithful member of Beaver Run Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa “Marie” Phillips and a sister, Dian I. Benefield
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bobby” Parker; two daughters, Brooke Jesperson (Jase) and Amanda Phillips (Jonathan), sisters, Judy Dorer (Rick) and Laura Welch; a brother, Jimmy R. Welch (Kay); grandchildren, B. J. Summers, Aubrie Grace Wilson, Cash Wilson, Kate and Millie Fairbanks, and Gavin and Gunner Oswalt; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
