Paublo Vela Cruz

Paublo Vela Cruz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on February 21, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 11, 1956, in Hondo, Texas, to Ramona and Francisco Cruz. 

Paublo leaves behind his devoted wife, Sylvia Esparza. He is also remembered by his five children: Mark, Alma, Angelica, Yvonne, Rosalinda and Paublo Jr. His legacy continues through his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will cherish the memories of his love and guidance. Paublo is also survived by his sister, Elia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramona and Francisco Cruz, and his siblings: Sonny, Francisco Jr., Roy, Joe, Jessie, and Betty, and Josefina. Each of these family members played an important role in his life, and they will not be forgotten.

Paublo’s family and friends are invited to honor his memory and celebrate his life during a series of services. A visitation will take place on February 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal, Texas, where Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Following this, a Funeral Service will be held at Saint Patrick Catholic Church on February 28, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM, leading to a Graveside Service at Saint Patrick Catholic Cemetery at 11:00 AM.

Paublo's life was marked by a commitment to family and kindness to all. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him, but his spirit will live on in their hearts.
