Thinking of you Paul! You are missed!!

I remember Paul from his USMS Basic Training Class. I was the Class coordinator and Lead Instructor. There were 4or5 Recruits in that Class that were from the Boston area but had been given their first assignment in Washington DC. This was an amazing group of young men! They were bright, talented and a joy to be near. Being the Class Coordinator I spent a good amount of time with the Class and got to know them fairly well.
Paul was a quieter member of the group, but proved to be a thoughtful, gentle soul... who was kind and always willing to assist in any way possible. I am thankful that I had the honor and privilege of knowing Paul! He was one of the `good guys´ that I had the great fortune to meet and be acquainted with during my time with the US Marshals Service...... Ava Gunter Gore, CDUSM, ret.(1975-2004)

My condolences to the Ahern family. I worked a detail with Paul years ago in New York. I was much younger and still naive. He gave me some pearls of wisdom and I immediately knew he was right. I can still picture it, where we were standing and the seriousness his thoughts. A great man, may he rest in peace.

I knew Paul from his earliest days with the U.S. Marshals Service... I was one of his USMS Basic Training instructors at FLETC and then worked with him throughout our respective careers with the Marshals. I will always think of Paul as a very kind, unassuming and determined individual. It has always been an honor and blessing to be able to say that I knew and worked with him! My sincere condolences are extended to Paul´s family and friends... I believe him to have been in ne of the truly `good guys´ if the human race.. Sincerely... Ava Gunter Gore, CDUSM,ret.
